The Cornell Energy Systems Institute (CESI) is a broad-based collaboration between faculty, students, industry, alumni, and friends of Cornell focused on development of smart, data-driven approaches for lowering humanity’s carbon footprint.
From pioneering new materials and devices for powering transportation systems to development of novel chemical processes that utilize carbon dioxide emissions as feedstock for chemical production, work in CESI leverages Cornell's record as a powerhouse in fundamental and applications-focused research for real-world impacts.
We rely heavily on the generous support of unrestricted gifts from individuals, foundations, and industry in order to seed new ideas on the cutting-edge of engineering science and to help translate these ideas into successful commercial products. Your support will help CESI recruit leading faculty and students to Cornell and will catalyze our efforts towards the goal of achieving broad-based recognition as a global center of excellence in nucleating, fostering, and translating research that lowers humanity’s carbon footprint.
The faculty stakeholders and students affiliated with CESI have a record of transforming society for the better and we appreciate your consideration in making a donation in support of one of the world’s leading energy institutions at one of the world’s greatest research universities.
Your contribution will make a difference.
